On the Italian Riviera coastline south-east of Genova lies a small fishing village known as Portofino. As the area is historically known for Pesto there was a chef that did not have enough pesto to serve a group, so he mixed it with some tomato sauce he had from the day before. And it was there and then that the “Portofino” sauce was born.

Aromatic vertically farmed basil and Italian sourced tomatoes showcase our Portofino pesto as an umami bomb with a nice and sweet touch to create an irresistible and delicious pesto sauce.

INGREDIENTS:

Tomato puree, Extra virgin olive oil, Basil paste (Basil, sunflower seed oil, salt), Parmigiano Reggiano DOP (Milk), double concentrated tomato paste, Pinenuts, Garlic, salt.

Can contain traces of sesame, tree nuts, peanuts.
